Twice Loved

Grannys china cabinet, crumbs on a pretty plate, warm sunshine at afternoon tea time.... a treasured tea set knows only happy times.
Rod and Jane love to fossick around, anywhere and everywhere, purely for the joy of finding lost treasures! They simply couldnt resist rescuing orphaned china sitting sadly on dusty shelves. Little piles of fine china saucers started to form teetering towers……what were they to do?
Was it possible they could be adored again?
Twiceloved China was born...

Tamara Harrison Design

Tamaras start and inspiration.
I have grown up in creative surroundings and made my first piece of jewellery as a child (think huge Fimo earrings!) but the real passion came when my Nana passed and I received her tin of buttons. It inspired in me a desire to show off these treasures keeping Nan close to my heart. And, as many stories go, being stopped in the street by people wanting to know where I got my necklace, the Tamara Harrison Design business was born.

Tamara creates jewellery and bridal bouquets that balance history and modernity, organic form and considered function, meticulous organisation and free flow. Her story starts with a love of nature and passion for design and that has resulted in an eclectic collection of jewellery and decorative objects. Her designs are individual and unconventional, coveted as wearable and accessible art.

Sundaysunset.images

From wanna be "pop star" to IT Geek to Landscape Photographer, I've worn many hats, but always followed my dreams and passions. A major accident in November 2010, that almost left me paralysed, spurred me into pursuing my creative dream of photography. Now my days are filled photographing some of the most beautiful places in the world and sharing them with everyone.

Petra Vanessie

Petra Vanessie is a 28-year old self-taught designer whose love of classical styles, elegant modern detailing and passion for being different have transpired to the creation of dresses that are sure to catch the eye of the beholder, and turn heads in the streets.

Petra was a disastrous dresser in her teenage years when she tried to conform to wearing what was youthfully trendy and fashionable. Instead, she had a penchant for the dresses of the classical past lined full skirts, pleats, hemlines that play peek-a-boo at your knees or just below, fitted bodice, detailed necklines and a desire to deliver comfortable wear that is both elegant and complimentary to the female body.

Petras designs incorporates the styles of 1950s and 1960s, combined with modern detailing that creates something new, something different and something just for you!

Every piece of Petra Vanessie dress is designed with meticulous detailing, are carefully hand-made, produced in only a very limited number of five per design (to retain its uniqueness) and are all handed over to its new owners with love (and lots of joy that they have found good homes!).

Since starting in 2010, Petra has delivered 9 collections, exhibited and sold at various boutique markets, and have had her designs worn by SBS newsreader, the beautiful Janice Petersen, and Junior Masterchef personality, the super gorgeous Anna Gare.

Made by Marika

I have been working with clay for about four years, spurred on by the never ending challenge of trying to throw the perfect bowl.

As well as throwing, I have become interested in the technique of slip casting which involves designing and making my own moulds and experimenting with colour and glazes. I am drawn to this method as the results give smooth streamlined lines and although each piece comes from the same mould, they are all different and unique.

Ultimately, my goal is to make pieces that are a pleasure to hold, practical and pleasing to the eye.

Marika has exhibited previously at the Pakenham Street Art Space, Fremantle; Moores Building Gallery, Fremantle and The Old Bakery Gallery, Maylands.

Kookery

Practical fun for your kitchen.
Kookery is inspired by the everyday, the beautiful shapes of our daily rituals.
Our bold images are created from vintage pieces, hard working items of my kitchen or hand drawn, each one a unique piece of artwork coupled with humorous commentary on our lives.

iheartcharlie

iheartcharlie was launched in 2009 by Margaret River artist and craftsperson Libby Gardiner. The name was inspired by her beloved pooch Charlotte and embodies Libby's love of textiles and beautifully hand crafted items. With a creative background in textile and fashion design Libby finds inspiration in pintucks, pleats and buttons. You will find elements of one or all of these in her journal covers, bags and purses.  More recently her love of doilies and screen printing has also been introduced to her work. Libbys philosophy is to keep things simple, well made and functional.

All ihearcharlie's creations are original designs created and individually handcrafted by Libby. They are either created as a limited edition or one of a kind and some feature vintage fabrics and embellishments. Libby and Charlie hope you enjoy all that iheartcharlie has to offer.

The Heartstrings Boutique

The Heartstrings Boutique (Clothing range) was born at a time when black & skull printed pieces stocked the clothing racks of most stores offering clothing for little girls. Being a mother of two fairies I was faced with that option, or fru fru with lace on top.
Neither provided a picture of what I wanted my daughters to look like. I wanted contemporary with a vintage touch, funky colour combinations & all in natural fibres. I've always been passionate about natural fabrics & I believe it's an important factor to consider in our Australian climate.

Having sewn all my life, I was at that time creating children's mobiles (Hearts on Strings) & bamboo cloth baby wipes.  My fabric fetish was embraced, my stash amplified & I made a dress, I then sold that dress & another, and so the story began.

The HeartStrings Boutique is where you will find unique designs that capture the whimsical essence of blithe childhood bringing an old world feel into the present.

Inspired by nature, designed with passion & handmade with love in WA using only 100% natural and designer fabrics, our signature designs feature appliqué, rosettes, polka dots, vintage & French trims; mixing contemporary with vintage inspiration & where you will find a little bit of fabulous!

BHO bags and purses

Bec is the designer and creator behind the B.H.O brand and started her business via necessity. Needing a new wallet and only finding vinyl, faux leather, chemical laden offerings, she decided to do something about it, and, at the same time, found sewing was the calm and passion she needed in her life.

Bec says, ‘new ideas just came to me and I visualise it as the finished product , then my mind would explode and all the pattern pieces were ‘laid’ out in front of me like a car manual! All slotting together and working in harmony’.
Her love of colour, contrast and texture is evident in her finely crafted bags and purses.

Bec uses Anilene leather with no urethane top coat and buys only from a supplier that believes in no waste. This means they use the whole animal, the coat becomes a leather hide, the meat goes to the butcher or pet meat department and the waste is turned into bio fuel to run the tannery.

Patricia Fernandes Ceramics

Graduating from Curtin University in 2008 majoring in Ceramics I launched my self-named design label
the following year and have worked on projects ranging from releasing my own ceramic jewellery and
functional dinnerware range as well as a home ware collection. I also regularly collaborate with fellow
W A designers for long-term projects and one-off events.

I work with creating a balance between referencing the past and creating an object that is elegant,
understated and unexpectedly vibrant. I reference the exotic by incorporating 100 year old
Indian textile prints in m y work and use a vibrant colour palette while maintaining a Scandinavian
design aesthetic.

The ethos of my design label is creating and offering a range of handmade ceramic objects that have
a purpose and place in your life and environment. I am currently stocked at five fabulous shops in
Western Australia and Victoria. I am also a regular seller at the Perth Upmarket.
